Barn Door Decor

Elizabeth Boland · Jan 17, 2012 ·

I am currently wrapping up a kitchen remodel with clients who love the barn door look, and who could blame them? There are so many different styles from which to chose, simply add the track and you’re good to go, all without having to hire a contractor to enlarge a wall to accommodate your traditional pocket door. That being said, how do you chose when there are so many great options?

After all these beautiful examples the clients are going to go with this picture as their inspiration for the project. White wood framing chalk board hung on the traditional barn door track will create their new laundry room sliding “barn” door. Stay tuned for the after pictures!

About Elizabeth Boland

I am a wife, Mom, and an Interior Designer. I love my job, and I love the fact that I get to work with one of my best friends. My Mom and I are partners in our Washington DC based design firm, Wilson Boland Design. In January 2010, we opened an Interior Design Studio in downtown Bethesda, which has evolved just as much as our business!

I started Haute Indoor Couture in the spring of 2011 to share portfolio pictures, inspiring ideas, and fellow designers with our clients and friends. I live for Interior Design and I love sharing my passion and enthusiasm with my readers. Most of the content you will find here is interior design, architecture, fashion, or canine related.

I love the Shelterness picture, with the soft light, the rugged texture and the happy accessories.
