Wild Wallpaper

Elizabeth Boland · Jan 23, 2014 ·

As I slowly get back into work mode, I’ve found myself looking for funky wallpaper selections for a few clients. I don’t know if 2014 is going to be the year people break out of their comfort zones or what, but I have had several clients ask me to pick out fun wallpaper for rooms from their dining room to laundry rooms. I can’t say I would be that bold even if we did live in our forever house, but maybe that’s because as a designer you’re always getting emails when companies release a new line featuring pictures of fabulous new prints. I don’t think I could commit to any one print right now, knowing that a few months down the road there might be one I like even more! Obviously if push came to shove I would definitely pick some sort of animal or crazy chinoiserie print, but for now I am just going to have to live with my white walls and leave the funky wallpaper for my clients. Until I am ready to share some after photo’s, here are some rooms with crazy wallpaper done right.

About Elizabeth Boland

I am a wife, Mom, and an Interior Designer. I love my job, and I love the fact that I get to work with one of my best friends. My Mom and I are partners in our Washington DC based design firm, Wilson Boland Design. In January 2010, we opened an Interior Design Studio in downtown Bethesda, which has evolved just as much as our business!

I started Haute Indoor Couture in the spring of 2011 to share portfolio pictures, inspiring ideas, and fellow designers with our clients and friends. I live for Interior Design and I love sharing my passion and enthusiasm with my readers. Most of the content you will find here is interior design, architecture, fashion, or canine related.

I'm with you…..no way would I commit to any of those "wild" papers. They are too hard to take down!
